The first ingredient is most closely located in the old overgrown stock pond near the farmhouse villagers called the Ginny-jean. There’s a small pebble road through the tall grass leading north to the pond with some small houses scattered along the path and the spring sun overhead was now bright and warm. Toadapple reaches the edge of the pond and puts some tall waxed cloth waders on to protect her legs from the cold early spring water. Normally Toadapple comes here with Baba Manzana and her magics help explore deeper in the pond but today for the first time Toadapple has to do it on her own. A ripple of nervous energy washed over her and she stood at the edge of the cold water and gulped.
