About the Artist
Alyssa R. Spencer is an illustrator, writer, and maker of small things.
She grew up tumbling down grassy hillsides, filling her pockets with acorns, reading piles and piles of books, and making lots of little things.
Her work focuses on nature and folklore with themes of fantasy and friendship. World-building and storytelling are her favorite self indulgences. She’s had custom toys featured in shows at Mothership Toy Gallery in Philadelphia, PA and Woot Bear Gallery in San Francisco, CA.
Alyssa lives in Fredericksburg Virginia and is an Activities Professional and Certified Dementia Practitioner focusing on art therapies. She also teaches online art classes for adventurers of all ages.
